Setting up Cloud Integration data archiving to SDM involves a few manual steps — OAuth tokens, CMIS calls, assembling destination files. It’s all doable, but it felt like friction I could reduce.
While following Kishor Gopinathan’s archiving blog during onboarding, I put together a small desktop app — the SAP DMS Client — to streamline some of the repetitive parts: loading service keys, creating repositories, exporting destination files, and activating archiving from a simple UI. The app was developed with the help of AI tooling, which made it possible to go from idea to working prototype quickly.
It’s not the ultimate solution, but it might save a few trips to Postman. The project is open source on GitHub — happy to hear how others have approached this.
