Lava O2 was announced today in India. The company claimed it is the fastest phone in its $100 segment thanks to its chipset, which is Unisoc T616 with an octa-core CPU. The O2 also has a 50 MP camera, showing that entry-level phones have come a long way lately.
It gets a flat 6.5” LCD with HD+ resolution and up to 90 Hz refresh rate. The selfie camera is sitting inside a punch hole and has an 8 MP sensor.
There are two cameras at the back, but only the 50 MP main one is actually useful. The secondary is called “AI camera,” and we can bet it contributes little to the actual photos…
