Event-driven Architecture is one of the hottest topics in respect to integration these days. Event-driven integrations allow you to benefit from real-time updates on significant changes, from easily crossing vendor boundaries, from loose coupling and from extreme scalability to handle peak loads. And these are just a few advantages. SAP already offers a full-blown event-driven ecosystem, with for example SAP S/4HANA as an event source. 

Now the hurdle to get started with EDA has been significantly lowered for SAP Integration Suite customers: Event Mesh is now included in standard and premium editions of SAP Integration Suite.
