We are excited to announce the release of Support Package 14 (SP14) for Focused Build in SAP Solution Manager. This update brings a host of new functionalities designed to enhance user experience and streamline implementation projects. Here are three key features of SP14:
1. Custom Fields in Solution Readiness Dashboard
With SP14, custom fields can now be added to the Solution Readiness Dashboard. This enhancement allows project managers to tailor the dashboard to their specific needs, providing a more personalized and comprehensive view of project status and metrics. Custom fields enable users to track additional data points and KPIs that are critical to their project’s success, ensuring more informed decision-making and better project outcomes.
2. Check In and Check Out Functionality for Documents
Managing project documentation just got easier with the new check in and check out functionality directly available from within the Work Package or Work Item. This feature allows users to lock documents while they are being edited, preventing simultaneous modifications and ensuring version control. Once edits are complete, the document can be checked back in, making it available for further updates or reviews. This functionality enhances collaboration and reduces the risk of conflicting changes, maintaining the integrity of project documents.

3. Enhanced Document Reporting Dashboard
The document reporting dashboard has been extended to include new personalization options and the display of custom KPIs. Users can now tailor the dashboard to show only the most relevant information, making it easier to monitor document status and performance metrics. The ability to display custom KPIs means that project teams can focus on the most critical indicators of success, improving transparency and accountability.

Support Package 14 for Focused Build in SAP Solution Manager is designed to provide greater flexibility, improved collaboration, and enhanced reporting capabilities. Besides the mentioned new capabilities we also improved in other areas, for example Test Management or Requirements Management. We also strongly focus on stability and reliability to improve the overall experience with Focused Build for our more than 2200 productive customers (by the way, an all time high).
