RISE with SAP Methodology – clean core success plan
SAP introduces a Clean Core Success Plan Roadmap in Cloud ALM. This is an Activate Roadmap that is specifically targeted at clean core and how to run a clean core project.

Use this success plan template to create a clean core runbook in SAP Cloud ALM. This will guide your journey to the clean core and allows for easy upgrading of SAP S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition.
Clean Core Roadmap Tasks
Pre-loaded tasks on Clean Core Methodology are available the moment the Clean Core Success Plan Roadmap is selected in the project.
This Roadmap is under heavy development and is constantly evolving. The SAP Content Update Summary card in the Project Overview shows the actual updates.
For example, in below screenshot you can see is last 2 weeks, 10 tasks have been updated and 1 task newly added.
Cloud ALM provides a Clean Core related task with relevant details. The purpose of this task is to conduct a thorough Quality Gate review.
Select the relevant clean core quality gate workbook.Review the selected checklist /accelerator to ensure an understanding on what should be covered during the quality gate.Conduct the quality gate using the selected checklist / accelerator.Submit the results to SAP for analysis and recommendations.Review the recommendations in the “Clean Core report” generated by SAP.Add necessary follow-up measures and document in the clean core runbook project
Alternatively, under the Task Accelerators the phase dependent quality gate workbooks/files can be found.
The purpose of this accelerator is to ensure the dimensions of Clean Core are addressed.It provides Guidelines and Checklist Items to support the Clean Core transition.The checklist are the guidance on what you should ensure within a phase of a project to keep the core clean.
By clicking on each of the above Quality Gate accelerator, it will download an excel file on to you local machine.

Quality Gates
A new functionality introduced in Cloud ALM to support clean core. In clean core roadmap, Quality Gates are an essential part to make sure that you keep on track.
These Quality Gates are managed within Cloud ALM.
1. First create the Phase relevant Quality Gate within Cloud ALM as shown below
2. Next, upload the excel checklist which was downloaded in the previous step into the Quality gate.
You can see different checklist/questions that you can answer with relevant status.
You can work through it and really manage the checklist and the quality gate within Cloud ALM and document the findings of such quality gate.
