In what the NY Times calls “the first antitrust decision of the modern internet era in a case against a technology giant”, US Federal Court Judge Amit P. Mehta ruled that Google “acted illegally to maintain a monopoly in online search.” ⚖️
Now it’s up to Judge Mehta to dole out the remedies for Google’s behavior, which could include ordering the company to break up its offerings.
