What is the SAC add-in for PowerPoint?

The SAC add-in for Microsoft PowerPoint allows you to embed SAC widgets directly into your presentation slides. This ensures your slides are always up to date with accurate data from SAC, eliminating the need for manual updates. You can connect to an SAC tenant, select and filter widgets, and refresh data on demand, making your presentations dynamic and reliable.

Important things to note:

Table widgets cannot be used with this add-onYou can only use optimized stories with this add-onThe story must be saved to the Public folderYou can refresh the widget’s data at any time on demand

 

Configurations and Set up

1. Open PowerPoint and, similar to the SAC add-in for Excel, you’ll be asked to enter your SAC URL

 

2. You’ll then be asked to login with your SAC tenant details. Once you log in you can see all your SAC tenants’ stories.

 

3. Select you story. In this example, we’ll use the SAP_SMPL_Planning story.

 

4. Once you click on your preferred story, you’ll get a list of the pages associated with your story.

5. You can then click on each page to see the available widgets from that SAC dashboard that can be used in PowerPoint.

 

6. You can then select the widget you want to insert and add it to your PowerPoint slide

 

7. Your slide should look like this once you’ve added your widget and combined other PowerPoint features
