The Aventon Abound SR is a short-tail cargo / utility electric bike and is Aventon’s first e-bike to have the Aventon Control Unit (ACU) integrated in to the bike.
We think the Aventon Abound SR is a great e-bike for the following riders:
– Riders interested in technology. The Abound SR comes with a locking kickstand and battery, and integrated 4G Bluetooth capabilities for location tracking and geofencing. These features provide a nice layer of protection against theft, and also make it significantly easier to track down a stolen bike.
-Riders who want a utility, do-it-all kind of commuter bike. With a 100lb capacity on the rear rack, options for a child seat, and an optional front rack, the Aventon Abound SR is an extremely versatile bike, and is one of the best utility e-bikes we’ve tested this year.
-Parents who want a bike to ride around with their child. While we would recommend the original Abound SR for riding with (2) children, the Abound SR is the better options for parents who are only looking to ride with a single child.
-Riders looking for a sporty, fun ride and responsive motor on a short-tail cargo bike that is priced under $2,500. The Abound has a very sport feeling, similar to what you experience on a mid-drive e-bike.
