Kaz and Henry decided to embark on a day of testing to see how much we could improve the Rocky Mountain, or at least bring it closer in line with our own preferences, by tuning the compression alone. We had three tunes: the CS30, CS40, and CS50. Our test was simple: blind testing, the same air pressure with the same shock volume, and back-to-back laps. Kaz could then inform us of his preferred tune, as well as let the audience know what he liked, too. Of course, nobody is immune from innate bias and it’s impossible to completely safeguard any run-and-gun test. That said, it represents something that anyone could do should they also have the opportunity to try different tunes.
