HANA SQL NOTEBOOKS in SAP BUILD / Business Application Studio(BAS) / Visual Studio Code

In Q3/2024 we introduced a new SAP HANA Cloud tooling called NOTEBOOK:

This is following the Notebook concept with 2 major block types: MD-Text and SQL content that can be executed.

Why do you need such a NOTEBOOK. Here is my list of use cases:

Preparation of a testing / development scenarioHelp writing blogs Make SQL statements part of your project. They will be saved within the project and can be shared with all other developes/users of your projectExplain the usage of database artifactsTest cases with your artifactsDocument database artifactsVerify database artifacts

Why is this useful?

Your SQL console content is only for yourself. Now you have the NOTEBOOK tool to share SQL-content within a projectYour SQL content got lost because your closed the tabs in DBX. Not anymore with NOTEBOOK!
