Hello!
As you may already know, the mainstream maintenance for SAP Solution Manager 7.2 is available until the end of 2027. To avoid any disruption in your IT processes, SAP recommends all customers to transition to SAP Cloud ALM before that.
To help you during this transition (from a solution documentation perspective), SAP Enterprise Support is offering a new pilot Expert Guided Implementation (EGI) service through the SAP Enterprise Support Advisory Council (ESAC): “Selective Data Transfer to SAP Cloud ALM”.
This EGI will give you access to a methodology and process to find out how this tool works and what object types are supported (depicted in the picture below).
This is a three-day remote session where an SAP Expert explains the Selective Data Transfer methodology in detail. On the same day, participants are expected to execute the demonstrated steps within their own SAP environment, and, if necessary, receive direct guidance and support from the SAP Expert.
During this EGI, we will demonstrate the results of a sample Readiness Check analysis for SAP Cloud ALM, focusing on the Selective Data Transfer aspects. In addition, we delve into the SDT process and tool, which will guide and assist you throughout the transition. Relevant content and entities such as the process hierarchy and core business process models are manually uploaded to target SAP Cloud ALM tenant.
As a pre-requisite, ensure you have access to your own SAP Cloud ALM tenant and SAP Solution Manager 7.2 SP15 (or above) system. If you don’t have one tenant yet, request it today at SAP Cloud ALM. To get further information about the fair usage rights, visit Usage Rights
For further queries including how to join these pilots, reach out to the SAP Enterprise Support Advisory Council directly at mailto:esac@sap.com.
Happy Learning!
