Orbea was early into the space of mid-power e-MTB with the original Rise using a detuned Shimano EP8 RS motor and a small battery. The stripped-back approach proved to be a real winner, and we’ve seen an evolution of the concept adopted by other brands.
Now the latest Rise sees an updated Shimano EP801 RS motor that allows access to the full 85Nm of torque, combined with either a 420Wh or 630Wh battery — we’ve got the latter. This, along with the 150/160mm travel, well-sorted four-bar suspension, adjustable geo, and the look of the bike, makes for a pretty appealing prospect.
But how does it ride? Come along as Michael reviews the 2025 Orbea Rise LT M10.
