What Microsoft is Building for Postgres in 2025 | POSETTE: An Event for Postgres 2025

This includes work in the Postgres open-source ecosystem and some of the significant contributions we’re making to Postgres 18, as well as our investments in Azure Database for PostgreSQL, which simplify database management and improve security when running Postgres in the cloud. Plus, our active participation in the Postgres community—which includes sponsorships of Postgres conferences and the organizing of POSETTE: An Event for Postgres, a free and virtual event now in its 4th year.

Charles Feddersen is the Director of Product Management at Microsoft for Postgres on Azure, which includes the portfolio of managed services as well as the contributions that Microsoft makes to open-source Postgres. In his current role Charles is responsible for the product definition and strategy, roadmap, customer experience, and overall success of Postgres services at Microsoft.
