CAP just got faster: What’s new in cds-caching 1.0

Caching is a proven strategy to boost performance in (cloud-based) applications, especially when working with slow remote services, repetitive queries, or expensive computations. For developers building applications and services with the SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP), the open-source cds-caching plugin offers a powerful, flexible, and easy-to-integrate solution for application-level caching. Last week at reCAP 2025, I had the opportunity to introduce some of the new features of cds-caching 1.0 live on stage and I am happy to announce that version 1.0 has now been published. This post includes a summary of what has changed.
