Transformative Lessons from SAP NOW AI Tour Argentina

On August 28th, SAP brought its renowned SAP NOW AI Tour to Argentina, offering a unique opportunity for local professionals to engage with cutting-edge AI innovations. We had the honor of participating in sessions where more than 1,000 experts shared their innovative ideas, experiences, and case studies. The event featured an extensive catalogue of talks, covering a wide range of topics related to various fields of interest regarding AI, ensuring there was something valuable for everyone. In the following sections, I will share my personal insights and reflections on the talks I attended and the overall event.

Reflecting on the occasion, the word that comes to mind is “transformative” due to the profound impact of the event. On one hand, it was a huge source of inspiration: new ideas, visions, interesting strategies, and personal experiences were shared. On the other hand, it provided practical insights through real cases and projects. This means that all the experts were capable of delivering not only an aspirational message, but also some proof that served as a truthful outcome.

One of the strongest ideas presented during the event was the notion of a virtuous circle created by the integration of applications, data, and artificial intelligence. We were shown how these elements, when working together, can generate outcomes that are more resilient, more sustainable, and more efficient. What struck me the most is that this perspective positioned AI not as something external or distant, but as an element that can and should be embedded into our everyday processes. For a company like ours, this confirmed that the future of AI lies in making it part of the very foundation of the business.

Another highlight was seeing Joule, and the different ways in which it is already being applied. We learned that it has the potential to simplify a great portion of repetitive tasks, allowing teams to dedicate their time and creativity to areas that truly generate value.

Finally, the reflections on responsible AI gave the sessions a deeper meaning. Beyond the technical demonstrations, there was a constant reminder of the importance of building systems that are transparent and trustworthy. For me, this emphasis on ethics was essential: it reminded us that innovation must go hand in hand with accountability, especially when the goal is to design solutions that people will rely on every day.

Despite the diversity of experts and talks, a common theme emerged: there is no single correct way to achieve success. The real challenge is to find the method, the technique, the strategy that best works for you. About the topic, experts at the event encouraged us to take advantage of all the tools and resources available to build an efficient ecosystem that adapts to our needs and showcases our uniqueness.

Connected with what was said above, this phrase resonated with me the most: you have to pluck up the courage and just do things. Success is the best teacher for failure. In order to succeed in something, it is necessary to conceive the idea of failing as something inevitable – and indispensable – and to include it within the planning towards a goal. Otherwise, the frustration will be not only unbearable, but we will forget about how important it is for our progress. Where would we take the valuable lessons from, if not from failing time after time? Consider this: if you are not experiencing failures, it might indicate that you are not challenging yourself or progressing. A lack of failure could mean that you are stuck in the same place.

And what about you? Have you attended the SAP AI Tour yet? When is it coming to your city? Have you learned anything that has impacted the way you view AI? What are your expectations if you are planning to attend this event in the future?
