Power-to-weight ratios are very important in sports like XC mountain biking, where outputting more watts per kilo will likely get you a better result in a race, or a quicker time up the climb. But surely that’s all negated when it comes to eBikes right? A motor, outputting watts in trail or boost mode is the great leveller, pulling all riders up those climbs with similar effort levels and wattage outputs? Well, no!
