Honor trademarks “NoxGod” imaging tech for Magic8’s 200MP telephoto camera

The Honor Magic8 series is coming by mid-October and it will introduce a new imaging technology, which the company has trademarked under the name “NoxGod”. What’s this about? Li Kun, Product Manager for Flagship Phones at Honor, posted a teaser about it on Weibo.

The exec suggests that this technology will improve the nighttime performance of the 200MP telephoto camera on the upcoming Magic8 models (note: Nox is the Roman god of night).

We’re not 100% sure which Magic8 models will have a 200MP tele module yet. The Honor Magic8 Ultra will reportedly feature a customized OmniVision…
