When customers move from SAP BW to SAP Datasphere + SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), a common ask is: “Where’s the BW-style Last Data Update field?” SAC’s dynamic-text / model metadata doesn’t reliably supply a full source refresh timestamp for all scenarios, so the recommended pattern is to capture the refresh timestamp at the source (or during the import/persistence flow), expose it through a small tracking table / SQL view and then surface it in the SAC story via dynamic text on a small analytic model.
