This month, we’re thrilled to present our TOP 10 Features, with six exciting updates for implementation and four powerful improvements for operations. These innovations are designed to streamline your application lifecycle management processes and boost your productivity.

IMPLEMENTATION UPDATES

1. Enhanced Document Management in Solution Activities

When accessing the details of a solution activity in the Solution Activities list, you can now see information about any Documents that are assigned to it. In addition to the document’s title, the technical ID, status, and the project for which it was created are also displayed. Moreover, after switching to Edit mode, you can directly Assign or Unassign documents for the selected solution activity within this list.

Note

The name of the document is an active link, allowing you to call it up in the Documents app directly. If any details are hidden due to your screen resolution or layout, choose the  (Show More per Row) icon to view all document details.

 

 

2. Streamlined Document Creation from Templates in Processes App

The Processes app now offers a more efficient way to create documents within the solution process viewer section. Instead of always starting from scratch, users have the option to create a new document based on an existing template. As before, when users select Create > Document, they are redirected to the Documents app, but now they can either click theicon to access a list of available document templates or choose Continue to create a document from scratch. Once the document is completed, users are automatically returned to the Processes app.

 

3. New Tag Filter Added for Improved Task Organization

The Burn Up Chart app now includes a Tag filter, allowing users to filter tasks based on specific tags. This feature refines project management by providing a more structured and effective way to track progress, making it easier to concentrate on relevant tasks and optimize the workflow.

 

4. Reassignment of Test Cases in Test Preparation

The test case editor now allows you to modify the assignment of an existing test case, enabling you to associate it with a different scope, solution process, or solution process flow diagram. This way, you can correct initial assignment errors or adapt the test case to evolving project structures without having to delete and recreate it from scratch.

 

5. Automatic Target Tenant Selection for Transport Creation

When you create a transport in the Features app, the default target tenant is automatically selected after you select a source tenant.  

 

 

6. Increased File Size Limit for External Files

The file size limit for external documents has been raised to 120 MB, allowing you to upload larger files and share and collaborate on more substantial documents without the need for file compression or splitting.

Caution

The upload times out after 80 seconds. If your upload speed is slow, this might cause the upload to fail.

 

 

OPERATIONS UPDATES

7. Improved Exceptions Page in Real User Monitoring

The Exceptions page now provides a comprehensive overview of user-related exceptions specific to the chosen application and scope. Users can access a detailed description of each exception by clicking on the corresponding exception icon and get displayed relevant context information. This feature enables the users to quickly identify and investigate exceptions impacting their applications.

8. New ABAP Heartbeat Monitoring Feature

The ABAP Heartbeat Monitoring feature enables ABAP systems and instances to transmit a heartbeat metric at one-minute intervals. This metric serves as a vital sign, allowing for quick detection of any system downtime or issues with metric transmission. By continuously monitoring the heartbeat, the feature helps ensure the smooth operation and reliability of ABAP systems.

Note

A negative response is only an indication that the system or instance is unavailable but doesn’t definitively confirm it.

 

9. Available Job End Time and Run Time in Run Info

The alert notification email now includes additional run details in the Run Info section, such as the End Time and Run Duration. This is an improvement from the previous version, which only provided the Start Time, making it challenging to quickly determine the total execution time. With the addition of End Time and Run Duration, you can now easily assess the job’s runtime directly from the notification email, without the need for further investigation.

 

10. Comprehensive SAP Intelligent Agriculture Monitoring

With this new feature, users can track and oversee master data messages within SAP Intelligent Agriculture. The system provides a comprehensive status summary of both incoming and outgoing messages. Additionally, users can drill down to single messages to check individual issues and message details.
