When building UI5 applications, it’s not always clear whether to create a classic UI5 Control or leverage a UI5 Web Component. This session will provide a clear comparison of both approaches, explaining when to use each option based on factors like reusability, UX strategy, company policy, and performance.
Beyond the theory, we’ll share insights from our proof-of-concept (PoC) integration of custom web components into the UI5 framework. This approach allowed us to explore how we could maintain a consistent look and feel across our applications while moving beyond the standard SAP Fiori design.
