The 2025 Momentum Vida E+ is a complete redesign from the ground up. Gone is the mid-drive and internal gear hub from 2022, replaced with a 500W rear hub motor and traditional 8-speed Shimano Acera drivetrain. But did Momentum make the right call?

In this review, I put the pre-production Vida E+ through real-world testing including a 57-mile range test, daily commuting, and hill climbing to see how the new hub motor setup performs. We’ll cover the 687.9Wh battery, MIK rack system, hydraulic disc brakes, and all the practical features that make this a serious commuter option.

Key specs: Class 3, 500W rear hub motor, torque sensor, 48V 687.9Wh battery, step-through alloy frame, front suspension, 26″ wheels, dual MIK racks, full fenders, available October 2025.
