​ Floreana giant tortoises disappeared almost 200 years ago after becoming a source of food for sailors. On a mission to photograph giant tortoises, photographer Lucas Bustamante ventured to Isabela Island—one of the most remote corners of the GalĆ”pagos—where he found some extremely curious tortoises with DNA tied to the extinct species.
