Is Riding Without a Chain Faster?

​ We’ve seen it happen multiple times at World Cups: someone breaks their chain at the beginning of a race, then impressively goes on to finish with a fast or even a winning time. Clearly, there must be something going on there. So we decided to do some back-to-back timed runs to see whether riding without a chain is faster and what other advantages riding chainless offers.
