Watch JAXA’s new cargo ship arrive at the International Space Station after a three-day journey through space. The uncrewed spacecraft is carrying four and a half tons of food and supplies for the crew aboard the space station.
After a successful launch on 8:00 p.m. EDT on Saturday, Oct. 25 (0000 UTC Oct. 26) from the Tanegashima Space Center in southern Japan, the HTV X-1 spacecraft is scheduled to be captured on Wednesday, Oct. 29 at 11:50 a.m. EDT (1550 UTC). JAXA’s Kimiya Yui and NASA’s Zena Cardman will be operating the Canadarm2 robotic arm to grapple the spacecraft.
