AI on Ubuntu just got a whole lot easier. At Ubuntu Summit 25.10, Canonical unveils inference snaps, a new project designed to make AI models deployable in a single click.
In this talk, Edoardo Barbieri and Farshid Tavakolizadeh outline the fragmentation of today’s AI ecosystem and explain how inference snaps simplify model distribution, dependency management, and hardware optimization. The session also includes a demo, showing how to install and use an inference snap on Ubuntu.
