​ Seven years after it was last seen in Intense’s catalog, the Spider was reintroduced this year with 29” wheels, 130mm of travel, and an eye-catching carbon frame. When it was first announced, some of the marketing copy suggested it belonged in the ‘light trail’ category, but Intense has since changed their tune – given its capabilities, and the fact that they didn’t want to be accused of inventing another sub-genre, the Intense now sits comfortably in the trail bike category. Phew.
