► ABOUT THIS ADVENTURE
In June 2025 I travelled through western Mongolia with Discover Altai to hike, climb and experience nomadic culture. I stayed with a family in the Ulaankhus Valley, documenting their life in traditional Gers and filming the construction of a second Ger they built for family visiting. We also visited a local Naadam family to experience Mongolia’s national festival and its deep cultural traditions. From Altai Tavan Bogd National Park we set out across the Potanin Glacier to climb Khüiten Peak, the highest mountain in Mongolia, a remote summit on the border with China. After the ascent I continued solo through the Altai Mountains, hiking the White River Valley, Takhilt Pass and Bear Valley.
