During last year’s GSoC, Soumyadeep Ghosh, under the mentorship of Scarlett Moore and Aleix Pol, developed a KCM (Settings Module) for KDE to manage snaps installed in a KDE based system.

In this talk, Soumyadeep goes through that project, showcasing his work in the upstream snapd-glib api, how others can also easily understand and manipulate snapd REST APIs, and how this KCM will make it very easy to manage snaps directly from a fast, handy graphical interface. He also explains his development model, how he iteratively builds over, and how the Snap KCM came to the way it currently is.
