SAP Signavio February 2026 Release: SAP Signavio Process Insights and Intelligence

Estimated read time 8 min read

Understanding how processes truly run — and turning those insights into action — remains one of the biggest challenges for organizations today. Teams often spend more time preparing data, interpreting results, or working around technical limitations than actually improving performance.

With this release, we’re focusing on removing that friction. Across SAP Signavio Process Insights and Intelligence, the latest innovations help you analyze processes more flexibly, uncover root causes faster, and work only with the data that matters. The result is simpler decision-making and quicker, more confident action.

SAP Signavio Process Intelligence

Model and analyze processes driven by business objects with Object-based data modeling

Real business processes rarely follow a single linear path. Orders, deliveries, invoices, and other business objects constantly interact, yet traditional case-based analysis often forces teams into rigid structures that capture only part of the story.

With object-based data modeling, you can now view these relationships in one unified model. By decoupling case logic from fixed data structures, you define your data model once and reuse it across multiple analyses, without duplicating or reshaping source data. This makes it far easier to explore how different parts of your business connect, shift perspectives depending on the question at hand, and adapt analyses as requirements evolve. Complex, end-to-end processes become more transparent and significantly easier to understand.

Understand root causes and act faster with AI-assisted insights  (Beta)

Identifying performance issues is only the first step. Interpreting what’s driving them and and deciding what to fix first: this is where many teams lose time and momentum.

AI-assisted Root Cause Analysis helps bridge this gap by automatically translating analysis results into clear explanations and actionable recommendations. Instead of manually investigating dashboards or debating priorities, you receive contextual insights into why issues occur and which improvements are likely to deliver the greatest impact. This accelerates the journey from insight to action and helps ensure that improvement initiatives consistently focus on what matters most.

This capability is currently available in beta. If you’re interested in participating, we’d love to hear from you!

SAP Signavio Process Insights

Use filtering to control what data is extracted for process analysis

Not every piece of ERP data is relevant for process performance analysis. Frankly, some information should never leave the source system at all. And, until now, teams often had limited control over what was extracted, leading to unnecessary data movement or additional governance work.

With enhanced filtering options, system owners can now exclude sensitive or irrelevant attributes directly within the extraction process. This allows organizations to better align with compliance requirements while also reducing data volume and focusing analyses on what truly adds value. The outcome is a more efficient, secure, and streamlined approach to process insights.

Explore process execution with interactive variants

First announced in the previous release (Nov. 2025), the Execution Variant (Previously Variant Explorer) is now available in SAP Signavio Process Insights, bringing a more interactive way to understand how processes actually are executed.

Embedded directly in the Process Flow page, it allows you to explore and compare process variants, filter for specific behaviors, and quickly see how different execution paths affect performance. With improved visuals, support for more variants, and the ability to intuitively include, exclude, and cluster flows, it’s now easier than ever to pinpoint inefficiencies and focus on the variants that matter most.

Together, these enhancements provide a clearer, execution-based view of your processes, this helping teams identify optimization opportunities faster and act with confidence.
