SAP Business Data Cloud and Datasphere News in February

Data Pipeline Analyzer

The Data Pipeline Analyzer is a monitoring tool designed for real-time analysis of complex data models, providing immediate visibility into errors, warnings, and data discrepancies. By focusing on node status indicators and streamlined navigation, the tool allows users to pinpoint the exact location of data transfer failures. This targeted troubleshooting approach ensures efficient oversight of flows, enabling organizations to maintain high data quality and resolve issues promptly to prevent downstream disruptions.

Task Chain Output Parameter

After introducing input parameters already in Q3 last year, you can now use output parameters in task chains. You can also map output parameters to the task chain from the task object. This will allow for more flexible usage of task chains and nested task chains.

Transformation Flow Object Versioning

The versioning concept you know for other modeling objects is now available for transformation flows. You can now review and restore versions, and the general options are similar to other editors where versioning is already available. You can:

Open a past version in read-only mode.Download a past version to a CSN/JSON file.Restore a past version to replace the current version.

Local Table (Files) Delete Inbound Buffer

Local Tables (File) store a large amount of data, including delta capture changes and historical data. When data is updated, the information is kept on your local table (file) with the delta changes columns, and a new version is stored in the object store. Keeping all these records and versions can consume a lot of memory, and can impact performance.
You can now delete records waiting in the inbound buffer of a local table (file), even if a merge task has not run.

Visibility of Data Access Controls Applied to Sources

A small but helpful feature, where you can now see data access controls applied to the sources of your view in a subsection Applied via Sources under the list of Data Access Controls in the side panel.

Sharing of Analytic Models

We all waited a long time for the cross-space sharing of an analytic model together with its contributing entities like the fact, dimensions, hierarchies, and text entities. You can share an analytic model with one or even with multiple spaces.

This enables users in the target space with the ability to stack on the model, inheriting its properties and enhancing the new model to meet their needs.

SAP Analytics Cloud Feature Highlights QRC1

The first release for SAP Analytics Cloud for 2026 is already out and @orla Cullen dives a little deeper into the top 5 features of the first quarter:

🔹New Chart Types – Expanded native visualizations with Area and Pareto charts to simplify advanced analysis.

🔹Story Versioning – Create, manage, and restore up to 10 major story versions for better iterative control.
