Objectives
This SAP blog post explains how to improve requirement approvals by combining AI-assisted pre-evaluation in SAP Cloud ALM with policy-controlled, multi-step approval workflows in SAP Build Process Automation (SAP BPA). New requirements are assessed against three ISO/IEC 25010 software product quality criteria: functionality, completeness and correctness. The classification and score of the requirement’s quality will be automatically evaluated by an AI model.
The handover to SAP BPA enables dynamic approver determination, SLA handling, escalations, and two- or four-eyes principles for sensitive changes, including multiple approval workflows. End-to-end traceability remains available in SAP Cloud ALM, where teams can review the approval history; the AI rationale is accessible in SAP BPA.
Important Note: This is a solution pattern based on SAP Consulting Best Practices. It is not provided out of the box. You need to set it up (for example: configure Cloud ALM subscriptions/webhooks, a BPA process, and the AI Launchpad integration) before using it in your projects.
