Clay had a wild idea: drive around the world. So… we’re doing it.
Episode 1 kicks off the biggest expedition in XOVERLAND history — a 25,000-mile overland journey from Bozeman, Montana to Cape Town, South Africa. Where do you even start with a trip like this? How do you safely move a team of 6–13 people through 35 countries in just four months all while filming? An unexpected objective? Why not.
The team sits down with seasoned travelers and expedition experts to break down the realities of a journey this big and start mapping a route across three continents through some of the most remote, beautiful, and challenging terrain on earth.
Back at the XOVERLAND Ranch, our purpose-built overland Toyota trucks go through their final shakedown. This season’s fleet includes two Tacoma Trailhunters and one Tundra — all running hybrid powertrains Clay has been wanting to put to the test. Systems get checked, problems surface, and the reality of this expedition starts to sink in.
