Intel launches Core Series 3 processors for more affordable laptops

Following the very successful recent release of its Core Ultra Series 3 processors (codenamed Panther Lake), today Intel is unveiling their lower-end counterparts in the Core Series 3 – notice the distinct lack of “Ultra”. These are meant to go in cheaper laptops, and Intel says it’s aiming them at those consumers and small businesses that are on a five-year upgrade cycle.

Compared to a five-year-old PC powered by the Core i7-1185G7, these processors deliver up to 47% better single-thread performance, up to 41% better multi-thread performance, and up to 2.8 times better GPU AI performance….
