Gemini Omni Flash API: Multi‑Turn Video Editing, Reference Images, and Best Practices
I show how to use Google’s new Interaction API with the Gemini Omni Flash (preview) model to generate and, especially, edit videos with multi-turn prompts. I cover pricing (similar to Veo 3.1 Fast, around 10¢/second), current limits like 10-second duration and 720p output, and how upstream storage lets you edit via a previous interaction ID without re-uploading. You’ll see targeted edits (changing backgrounds, making objects invisible, swapping a butterfly to a bee, adding fireflies), camera angle changes, and adding synced comic-style effects. I also demo animating single and multiple reference images (up to seven) for character-consistent montages, plus prompting best practices (shot, motion, style, lighting, location, action, audio). I end with notes on strict safety filters (no celebrity references) and audio limitations.
