Today I’m driving a Toyota Celica GT-Four (ST205) on the Nürburgring Nordschleife for the first time — the legendary 3S-GTE turbocharged, all-wheel-drive homologation special built so Toyota could go rallying in the WRC. This is one of the true icons of the 90s JDM era, and it comes with the full soundtrack: proper turbo noises, blow-off valve, the lot. But this drive had a second mission: the GT-Four runs Toyota’s Super Strut suspension — the same setup I’m retrofitting to my own Celica T-Sport over winter — and this was my chance to feel what it actually does on track before committing to my own build. Short version: the handling genuinely surprised me. Full onboard, my honest thoughts on the car and the suspension, and all the turbo flutter you came for.
