The Assetto Corsa EVO 0.8 update is here — and it adds the VW Golf 8 R. So we’re doing this properly: first I drive the Golf R on the Nürburgring Nordschleife in AC EVO, then we take the real thing onto the real Nordschleife and find out how close the sim actually gets.
