Ask your favorite AI coding assistant for an SAP question, and you’ll often get a confident answer that’s six months out of date: a deprecated API signature, a CAP flag that changed defaults, a BTP service that’s been renamed. The problem isn’t the model; it’s that its training data was frozen long before the last SAP release.
This session introduces sap-devs, an open command-line companion, and its Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that wires live, curated SAP developer knowledge directly into the tools you already use: Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, Joule Studio, and any MCP-capable client. Instead of copy-pasting from a browser, your agent can now pull authoritative content on demand: CAP, BTP, and ABAP Cloud best practices and anti-patterns, known-error root-cause lookups, canonical SAP code samples, official docs and tutorials, Learning Journeys, Discovery Center missions, and even weekly SAP Developer News; all sourced from developers.sap.com and kept fresh.
