Most eBike companies will claim that they are waterproof up to a certain ‘IPX’ rating, but what does that mean? Steve Jones recently visited the Bafang factory in China to see how their motors are made and tested. In this video, he shows you the different tests that are carried out for the IPX ratings and how some companies are testing over the required amount. Steve also learns why real-world testing may yield different results from factory-controlled testing!
