At the Microsoft Cybercrime Center, the Digital Crimes Unit (DCU) is leading the fight against global cybercrime. With a team consisting of international experts, lawyers, investigators, and data analysts, the Digital Crimes Unit is using cutting-edge strategies to disrupt the technical infrastructure used by cybercriminals.
The Digital Crimes Unit uses an innovative application of technology, forensics, law and partnerships to not only deter cybercrime, but to also help with enforcement actions against cybercriminals.
In collaboration with governments and internet service providers, the Digital Crimes Unit has helped remediate approximately 500 million victims worldwide, using the intelligence gained to enhance the security of Microsoft’s products and services.
