What’s New in SAP Analytics Cloud Custom Widget: QRC3 2024 Release

Purpose

This blog introduces the latest updates of Custom Widgets features within SAP Analytics Cloud, as part of the QRC3 2024 release.

Overview

1. Custom Widget: Showing unbooked data values

Previously, the query result returned for the custom widget doesn’t include unbooked data. However, displaying unbooked values is crucial. Hence, we’re introducing this feature that incorporates unbooked data in the query results which can be utilized by custom widgets. this enhancement allows customers to effectively use unbooked data in their custom widgets.

2. Custom Widget: Support for calculated and account-based dimensions

In the optimized story experience, you can now seamlessly create and utilize calculated or account-based dimensions for custom widgets. This feature is essential for customers who wish to combine dimensions, group them, or create account-based ones for use in custom widgets.

3. Custom Widget: Increasing the number of the hosted custom widget in SAC to 50

Beforehand, SAC user was able to host until 25 Custom Widget per tenant, with the QRC3 release we increased the number to 50 in order to offer more flexibility for custom widget developer to extend their visualisation and easily hosted into SAC and into their Stories.
