In this Article, we will discuss about how a design thinking can help to solve the business critical decision making problems. As we know in SAC for Real Time Simulations we either use the Account Member Formulas, or VDT or Slider on Stories with Story level calculations. However none of these offers to save the result numbers in model, except we calculated accounts or measures via cross model copy function.
So most of the cases we need to go to Data action approach, where the result of every Simulation is stored and also can be used and analysed. However Data actions are not as faster as real-time Live calculations. and for Iterative Simulations it take ages to finish the Data Action Loops. In today’s fast-paced and highly competitive business landscape, the ability to make informed, data-driven decisions is crucial for organizations aiming to differentiate themselves. One key aspect of effective decision-making is the capacity to evaluate the potential impacts of various choices before they are implemented.
Thus we need to find a solution which can save the result as well as perform the simulations for 100s of iterations within few seconds.
Below is my approach where I have tried to explain in detail how a Parallelization technic can be used to achieve this requirement. This solution leverages SAP’s HANA capabilities and Design Thinking of Parallel approach.
