How to setup for joule in SAP BTP- BAS

What is an AI Code Generator? 

An Al code generator is a computer program incorporating artificial intelligence that helps engineers write code more swiftly and precisely. When you type code in real-time, it generates code based on prompts or suggests code for auto- completion. Al code writers like these can translate between different programming languages and write their programs. Additionally, they help with automatic documentation generation and speedy code snippet discovery. 

They apply AI algorithms to select the best code for a specific program, enabling developers to create a program quicker.

Joule is a new and exciting generative AI assistant that intelligently changes how we interact with SAP’s systems and applications. Joule was developed with a focus on simplifying and streamlining tasks through various touchpoints. 

Joule is named after renowned 19th-century English brewer, physicist, and mathematician James Prescott Joule. He was famous for many things, such as the first law of thermodynamics, the Joule cycle, Joule expansion, Joule’s first and second laws. 

Similar to other AI assistants, you’ll be able to communicate with Joule using native languages and chat. You can ask it questions like: “What table is a purchase order in? How many sales orders were created last month? Has invoice 7XXXXXX been paid yet?” In response, Joule will intelligently provide you with accurate technical and business process related information.  

SAP Joule differentiates itself from Chat GPT based on the compelling fact that Joule is an SAP solution falling under SAP BTP’s AI cloud. Therefore, Joule is an advantage for SAP users because it was built with SAP S/4HANA and SAP BTP applications in mind. 

How to setup SAP BTP with Joule. 

Navigate to your Trial Account. 

1. Go to Boosters, search for SAP Build Code and click on start. 

2. You can see this screen, after booster executed successfully. 

Here click on the Navigate to subaccount. 

=> Go to Services –> Instances and Subscriptions. 

     => Make sure that You Have only one dev space in Business Application Studio. 

==>confirm, there is only one dev space in BAS. 

4.==> Coming back to instances and subscriptions click on SAP Build Code. 

    ==> click on create 

    ==> then click on Build an application -> SAP Build Code -> Full Stack Application 

    ==> Provide the project name, description, select new dev space and click on Create 

==> You can see the new dev space created in lobby as well as in BAS (Business application studio) dev spaces.

*BAS (Business Application Studio) dev spaces. 

=> click on the project you have created in the lobby. 

=> you can see the below screen and the diamond icon is the one which launch the SAP Joule 

=>By entering the prompt in the input field we can get the solutions according to the prompt we give.
