I’ve been testing the Heybike Alpha, a $1,499 fat-tire e-bike with a 500W MIVICE mid-drive, 105 Nm of torque, and a 400 lb payload.
It’s got 26×4” tires, a 680Wh battery that hit 72 miles in my Min PAS test, and practical perks like fenders, lights, and a rear rack for commuting or trail adventures.
The Shimano 8-speed drivetrain and hydraulic brakes keep it reliable, but the throttle’s limited to protect the gears—smart, but not for everyone.
