Hello and welcome! In this blog, I’m excited to share the progress I’ve made on creating easy-to-use dashboards with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) using data from SAP Cloud ALM (CALM) Health Monitoring (HM) and Real User Monitoring (RUM). Let’s see how these dashboards can turn data into helpful insights.
The Project Overview
In today’s dynamic business landscape, making informed decisions requires access to accurate and timely data. That’s precisely what my dashboards aim to achieve: providing a user-friendly interface to visualize and analyze SAP system data.
The project entails building two dashboards that provide comprehensive insights into system health and user interactions. We can import these pre-built templates into your SAC environment, connect them with your CALM data, and provide you with immediate access to system and service information, saving you the effort of creating dashboards from scratch.
Dashboard Highlights
Health Analytics Dashboard
Built for S/4HANA systems, this dashboard provides insights into system health and performance, helping identify issues through data on uptime and resource utilization.

Real User Analytics Dashboard
This dashboard tracks user interactions. It reveals activity patterns, identifies bottlenecks, and highlights areas for improvement in your digital environment.

Key Benefits
Plug-and-Play Templates:
We can import these dashboards into your SAC tenant and connect them with your existing CALM setup. This service removes the need for you to design dashboards on your own and offers an immediate starting point for analysis.Customization Flexibility:
While the templates offer a comprehensive initial setup, users have the freedom to modify and expand upon these dashboards to better align with their specific needs. This adaptability ensures that the dashboards remain relevant and scalable.Historical Data Analysis:
The dashboards can display data for specific points in time—such as days or hours—as well as over a selected period, but depending on the chart. The configuration I would recommend would be to set up daily updates, gathering the data of the previous day, every morning. Then this setup will continuously enriches your model with new data.
Conclusion
This SAP Analytics Cloud project exemplifies the powerful intersection of data and technology. By providing these ready-to-use dashboards, I aim to facilitate a starting point for users seeking to utilize their SAP Cloud ALM data effectively. The dashboards not only simplify the analytical journey but act as a catalyst for data-driven decision-making.
If there are other metrics or areas you believe could benefit from similar dashboards, I’d love to hear your ideas. Your suggestions could guide future dashboard developments 🙂
Don’t hesitate to reach out to your SAP representative to see how SAP can support you regarding these ready-to-use dashboards.
