​ SRAM’s mountain bike brakes changed a lot in 2025. The most notable changes were the switch from DOT Fluid to Mineral Oil and a shift to a three-tier model offering. Luca Cometti spent the summer riding SRAM’s most powerful Maven model and the new lighter-duty Motive model to see how the two compare and what type of riders they best suit.
