At SAP TechEd 2025 in Berlin, I’m excited to lead two sessions that dive deep into how SAP Cloud ALM is evolving into an intelligent, autonomous platform that redefines how organizations manage their SAP landscapes.
If you’re guiding your company’s cloud transformation or planning your move from SAP Solution Manager to SAP Cloud ALM, these sessions are for you.
Before I share what I’m going to present about in SAP TechEd Berlin, I would like to share with you some background information.
SAP’s ALM strategy and vision
Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) is the backbone of enterprise IT, orchestrating the full lifecycle of applications – from design and build, through migration and service delivery, to ongoing operations.
SAP’s vision is to evolve SAP Cloud ALM into a transformation execution platform, supporting the full lifecycle: Scope, Build, Migrate, and Run.
With the new “Scope” pillar, SAP Cloud ALM will become the central scoping hub by integrating results from the Digital Discovery Assessment (to speed up projects by re-using assessment data), the SAP Readiness Check (to include simplification items), Best Practice Guidance coming from SAP Signavio and information from the Landscape Discovery.
In “Build”, we plan to strengthen the integration between SAP Signavio and SAP Cloud ALM, and further enrich the existing capabilities of SAP Cloud ALM for process and project management, testing, and deployment management.
With the also new “Migrate” pillar, we combine and enhance offerings to support customers with data migration for their cloud transformation projects, as well as integrating Custom Code Management capabilities and adding rollout and template management to support large-scale enterprise transformations.
For the “Run” pillar, SAP plans to move towards autonomous ALM in three steps – from leveraging AI in Integration Monitoring, Health Monitoring, and Business Process Monitoring, through agentic AI use cases to fully autonomous ALM for implementation, powered by embedded AI and Joule agents.
What will I cover at SAP TechEd 2025?
At SAP TechEd, I am going to cover two different aspects of our ALM strategy: First, I will dive into our plans on leveraging AI in SAP Cloud ALM, and second I will lay out the roadmap of SAP Cloud ALM from an innovation persopective.
Session 1: Strategy for SAP Cloud ALM with Autonomous ALM and Joule
Session ID: ST106
When: Tuesday, Nov. 4, 10:15am
How can artificial intelligence revolutionize the way we manage SAP landscapes? In this strategy session, we’ll explore SAP’s vision for autonomous ALM using SAP Cloud ALM — powered by Joule, SAP’s generative AI copilot.
You’ll learn how AI agents can proactively identify and resolve operational issues, reducing manual intervention and ensuring continuous, automated system reliability. We’ll also discuss SAP’s roadmap toward a fully autonomous ALM future — where human oversight shifts from problem-solving to strategic innovation.
Session 2: Road Map for SAP Cloud ALM
Session ID: CS805
When: Tuesday, Nov. 4, 11:45am
In this deep-dive session, we’ll walk through the latest innovations and upcoming features of SAP Cloud ALM. Expect insights on autonomous capabilities, integrated tool chains, and the role of the Joule copilot in simplifying daily operations.
We’ll also discuss the SAP Readiness Check for SAP Cloud ALM, designed to help customers plan and execute their transition from SAP Solution Manager with confidence. Whether you’re just getting started with Cloud ALM or looking to optimize existing operations, this session will provide practical guidance for your next steps.
Why You Should Attend
Both sessions are designed to help you understand what’s next for SAP Cloud ALM, but how you can get there. Join me in Berlin to explore how SAP Cloud ALM is evolving into a transformation execution platform powered by broad integrations and meaningful AI – and how your organization can benefit from it today.
Now let’s hear from you:
What are your most favorite features in SAP Cloud ALM? Let me know in the comments!
