Inverted, expensive, and instantly polarising, the Fox Podium has been argued to death online.
The Podium is a 160 or 170mm travel, 29er-specific, single crown fork built around an inverted chassis. In the brand’s own words, the Podium is “the pinnacle of single crown MTB forks”, but it didn’t replace the popular 38, which still sits in the lineup.
It’s been a number of months since launch, and we’ve been tinkering with the Podium and swapping it between a number of bikes (we’ve lost count, maybe seven?) to figure out exactly what sets this unique beast apart from the rest of the field.
