Communication Arrangements details can be viewed.Custom Communication Arrangements can be created with standard communication or custom communication scenarios using Communication Arrangements App.

Choose the Product

SAP S/4 HANA Cloud Public Edition

Navigate to APIs -> ODATA V2 / ODATA V4.

Search Required API

List of results for Purchase Order.

Navigate to API Resources -> Attributes -> Communication Scenario

API Specifications

Authentication Methods for API

Extensibility

All these are Standard Communication Scenarios.

Standard Communication Scenarios of Purchase Order – SAP_COM_0053

Steps to Create Communication Arrangements

Maintain Communication Users

Navigate to Maintain Communication Users App.

Maintain Communication Users is to create Communication Users for the API Access.

Choose New button to create Communication User

Add User Name and Password.

Propose Password can be chosen to generate password by system.

Save the Communication User.

If communication User is added to any Communication system or communication Arrangements, here it shows those details.

Communication System

Navigate to Communication System App.

Communication System is to maintain communication system with host name and communication User.

Provide Communication System ID and Name.

Add the Host Name

Add necessary details

Choose Add button to add Inbound Communication User.

Available Authentication Methods

Required details for SSL Client Certificate.

Required details for OAuth 2.0

Choose the Authentication Method, and choose User Name/Client ID.

Click on Ok after choosing Communication User.

Communication User is added.

 Communication System is saved.

Communication Arrangements

Navigate to Communication Arrangements app.

Communication Arrangements is to generate Inbound Service URLs by adding Communication System and Communication User.

Choose New Option to create Custom Communication Arrangements.

Standard or Custom Communication Scenarios is required to create Custom Communication Arrangements.

Search for the Standard or Custom Communication Scenario

‘SAP_COM_0053’ is the Standard Communication Scenario for the Purchase Order API.

Arrangement appears automatically based on Communication Scenario and it can be changed.

Click on Create button to create Communication Arrangement.

List of Inbound Services available for that Communication Scenario.

WSDL/Service Metadata will be generated once Saved the Communication Arrangement.

Communication System and Communication User is required to create Communication Arrangements.

WSDL/Service Metadata is generated.

Service Metadata

Service URL is available in Communication Arrangement.

Access the Service URLs through the Communication User details.

Conclusion

standard communication or custom communication scenarios are used to create Communication Arrangements.

In Communication Arrangements, OData URLs are generated based on inbound Service.
