​ World Cup fever just hit low Earth orbit!

Watch astronauts Jessica Meir, Sophie Adenot, Jack Hathaway and Christopher Williams take the beautiful game to the International Space Station in an epic microgravity match with the adidas FIFA World Cup Trionda Pro ball.

In addition to having fun with the Trionda, they also conducted experiments to analyze the ball’s internal mass, which improves our understanding of how internal mass, including embedded sensors, can influence stability and rotation in real-world playing conditions. Just one more way space station science makes life better for people on Earth!
