The Highox Trooper X is a full-suspension fat-tire folding e-bike with big power, bold marketing, and a surprisingly strong build for the price.
In this review, we test the Trooper X to see whether it can walk the line between street-legal Class 2 e-bike and high-torque “beast.” It comes with a 750W rear hub motor, 1,600W peak output, 110Nm of torque, a 720Wh battery, hydraulic disc brakes, full suspension, 20×4” fat tires, turn signals, app-based settings, and a folding step-through frame.
We cover speed, throttle behavior, hill climbing, braking, ride quality, suspension performance, off-road handling, app controls, build quality, and the areas Highox still needs to improve.
